What is your favorite memory of Wapahani or Liberty-Perry schools?
I have two, the Perry Chili Supper/ Carnival and the Wapahani Marching Band. The Perry Chili Supper was so much fun because so many people would come. It was fun to see the teachers working their booths and all of the parents and siblings who came out eat supper (chili) in the cafeteria and then join in the festivities. Just something to look forward to as a child. Marching in the band was the highlight of my high school years. Everyone in band seemed to enjoy being together for hours on end either on the weekends, after school, band camp in the summer or at the shows. Our closest friendships were formed then and everyone got along. It was just always looked forward to and while we worked very hard, we also played just as hard. We did our best to make our school proud. I think we did that.
