About Me
I worked various jobs after graduation, got married twice and had two kids (one from each wife) and moved to Texas during the oil boom. Upon returning to Muncie, I was unable to find a job anywhere. With two divorces under my belt, I hit MY rock bottom when I was refused a job... at Mcdonalds. So I left Delaware County for good (literally). I was initially on my way to Las Vegas in the spring of 1980 to seek my fortune. I had a whopping $35.00 in my pocket and had no idea where I was going to stay, not knowing anyone there. Due to bad weather (fog & flooding) my plane flew on to Los Angeles. There was an 8-hour layover so I got off the plane, called a buddy from boot camp and not having any binding agenda at the time, wound up living in his parents garage in Venice Beach for a spell. My first job in L.A. was in the gift wrap department at May Company. Later, I met a girl from El Salvador, got married, had two girls, bought a home, and lived the "American Dream". I have since become a Service Manager/Director at some of the largest GM dealerships in the West L.A. area. After working for "someone else" for 23 years, I took a major step and started my own independent business repairing GM and Saturn cars and trucks. All went well til our current economic crisis forced me to dissolve my business as of September 2008. I am currently undergoing a career change. And thats it in a nutshell. During my time spent here, I've met alot of wonderful people and many celebrities too. Some you'll recognize, like Burt Lancaster, Esther Williams, Doris Day, Betty White, Charlie Sheen, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, Brian Setzer, Ringo Starr, Hector Elizondo, Peter Graves, James Arness, Richard Crenna, David Faustino, Martin Lawrence, June Haver, Moira Kelly, Lloyd Bridges, Senator John Tunney (son of heavyweight champ Gene Tunney), Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Cindy Crawford, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell and my all-time favorite Rodney Dangerfield..... the list goes on and on.
